3LD and Artists
3LD has always been artist run and led through all of its incarnations. Our focus is on creating production, resource sharing and development and funding models that allow artists to realistically pursue the completion and presentation of complex works across disciplines. We focus on technology use and development as an enabler for completing purely creative works. We are deeply interested in enabling artists who, for whatever reason, have been cut out of access to resources. Because the founders and associates of 3LD fall into this category, we believe we have a deeper understanding and motivation to build a viable way forward for artists of all disciplines in the 21st Century. To date we have created over 170 large scale interdisciplinary works and 7 feature films.

Kevin’s artistic focus has been on the creation of large-scale immersive works that use technology to amplify empathy and human connection. In the last 15 years he has produced and/or created over 170 large-scale works, including interactive installations, holographic theater, and more.

Mark is a future architect, map maker, media and technology theorist, social entrepreneur, artist and author. His passion lies in seeing through the noise of increasing complexity accelerated by technology to develop human scale environments that help make sense of the world.

Tayyib Smith is serial entrepreneur; founding partner and chief strategist at The Growth Collective, a partnership with the vision is to provide access to resources and capital that will elevate communities of color and generate wealth for neighborhoods victimized by systemic racism.

DYLAN KAPLAN
Director of Development
Dylan is a Tony award-winning producer and creative strategist specializing in immersive performing arts and experiential storytelling. Previously the Director of Development at The York Theatre Company, Dylan holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a BFA/MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and is dedicated to transforming live entertainment through innovation and strategic partnerships.
MICAELLE LAGES
Multimedia Artist, Creative Technologist
Mica is a brazilian creative technologist based in Brooklyn, NY. With a BA in Cinema and Audiovisual and Masters from ITP at NYU, her work spans the intersection between art, design and technology. Selected for the 2025 frame:work New Talent List, her expertise focuses on new media art.

3LD produces new works, co-produces original works and acts as a fiscal sponsor for new work. We also take on commissions of larger scale immersive works for institutions like museums or commercial events and architectural applications – see more about this on our Comissioned Work Portfolio page.
We also consult in the areas of creative technology use and development; facility planning for interdisciplinary and immersive artistic production; independent, institutional and commercial film, media, VR, AR; theatrical production with an emphasis on immersive, interdisciplinary and cross platform production and programming.
